What is LTE?

What does LTE means?

Strictly speaking, LTE was actually positioned as an enhanced version of 3G at the beginning, but as it developed later, it greatly exceeded the expectations of its designers. In terms of version, LTE mainly includes two versions: namely TD-LTE and LTE FDD two systems. The two systems are selectively applied according to the different 2G and 3G networks before. China Mobile, for example, adopts TD-LTE because TE-LTE can be well-compatible with China Mobile’s self-developed 3G network. While Unicom and Telecom may use a combination of two versions, or use one of them.
China Mobile is the first to enable 4G, but because it is in the early stage, the coverage is not enough to be free, and can only be experienced in some cities downtown or county urban areas, users can use 4G terminals to experience on their own. The speed is indeed faster.
With the wide influence of LTE in the world, gradually known and valued by the world, Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin said at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the group will work with China Mobile and Verizon to promote LTE technology, LTE will become a clear direction for the future development of the industry.
