What is the High Gain Flex PCB 5G NR Antenna?

The built-in antenna High Gain Flex PCB 5G NR Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FPC-60600-11216-IPEX-120 is a 10dBi antenna high-gain 5G Sub-6GHz high-performance ultra-wideband frequency 5G NR antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for 5G NR / 4G LTE / FirstNet / CBRS / LPWA / 3G / 2G / GSM / NB-IoT Applications.

The 5G NR protocol

The 5G NR protocol will be divided into three phases: NSA, SA, and Late Drop.

NSA: Non-stand-alone deployment, i.e. LTE as the anchor point, with NR dual-linked to LTE. standardization of the NSA is basically frozen in December 2017.

SA: Stand-alone deployment, where 5G NR networks (including core and radio access networks) are deployed independently, which is the ultimate goal of 5G NR deployment. 3GPP completed the main standardization work for SA in June 2018.

Late drop: Adding new features to SA, such as NR-NR dual linking, etc.

5G NR is divided into two parts, FR1 (f < 6GHz, low frequency) and FR2 (f > 6GHz, high frequency, millimeter wave).

The bandwidth of 5G NR FR1 can be 5MHz, 10MHz, 15MHz, 20MHz, 25MHz, 30MHz, 40MHz, 50MHz, 60MHz, 80MHz, and 100MHz.

5G NR FR2 bandwidths can be 50MHz, 100MHz, 200MHz, 400MHz, etc.

5G NR can have a minimum bandwidth of 5MHz and a maximum bandwidth of 400MHz.

If all terminal UEs are required to support the maximum 400MHz, this will undoubtedly place high demands on the performance of the UE and will not be conducive to reducing the cost of the UE.

At the same time, it is impossible for a UE to occupy the entire 400MHz bandwidth at the same time, and it would be a waste of performance for the UE to use the sampling rate corresponding to the 400MHz bandwidth. In addition, a large bandwidth means a high sampling rate, and a high sampling rate means high power consumption.
