The Flexible 5G Modem Antenna High Gain 5G Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FPC-60600-8237-IPEX-120 is an 8dBi high gain 5G antenna flexible PCB antenna new 5G Radio antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for LTE 4G 5G modem wireless network applications.

What is 5G NR positioning standardization?

Rel-9 a Rel-11 communication system positioning is mainly based on time-measured observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA), UL-TDOA, and cell identification (CID), and the positioning accuracy is not high, generally at 50~150m.

This stage belongs to the long-term evolution (LTE) low accuracy positioning stage. On the basis of this stage, Rel-12 a Re-14 puts forward the requirement of higher accuracy and give the solution of fusion of multiple positioning techniques to make the positioning accuracy reach 10~100m.

Rel-15 a Rel-16 not only proposes 5G to use the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) multi-beam feature for positioning enhancement but also defines positioning techniques such as cellular cell-based RTT, DLTDOA, angle of arrival (AOA), angle of departure (AOD), etc. so that the positioning accuracy reaches 3~10m.

The characteristics of these positioning techniques, and the advantages, and disadvantages of uplink and downlink positioning are specifically analyzed.

Since the positioning accuracy of R16 can not meet the needs of some industrial IoT application scenarios, Rel-17 will further improve the accuracy of indoor positioning to the centimeter level.
