What is the LTE 4G receiver antenna function?

LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a 4G mobile broadband service running at 700-2700MHZ. LTE wireless operators using its 4g network include AT&T and Verizon, along with many operators around the world.

The antennas produced by C&T RF Antennas Inc are specially made to cover 4G/LTE frequencies from 700MHz to 2700MHz.
4G/LTE is a wireless data communication technology standard and an upgrade of the GSM/UMTS standard.

The current goal of LTE is to use new technologies and modulation methods to improve the data transmission capacity and data transmission speed of wireless networks. Because the interface of LTE is incompatible with 2G and 3G networks, LTE needs to be compatible with each other.

The original network is operated by frequency bands.

4G/LTE antennas are regarded as the mainstream technology that evolves from 3G antenna products to 4G antenna products.

With the continuous development of the network, the advent of the LTE antenna reduces the waiting time for network transmission, provides a higher user data rate for the network, improves system inventory and coverage, and reduces operating costs.

Mobile communication applications are shifting from voice to data, and from 2G/3G to HSPA/LTE, which puts forward brand new requirements for antenna technology innovation.

4G/LTE is the next-generation wireless protocol of the 3G Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS). It was developed by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3gpp). The goal is to develop the cellular type into a packet-based all-IP (Internet Protocol) network.

Among the many goals of LTE are high-speed uplink and downlink data rates of 100 and 50 megabits per second (Mbps) respectively, and low packet delays of no more than 5 milliseconds (ms).

For new types of services such as wireless Voice over IP (VoIP), the latter’s importance is constantly increasing. In addition, this technology must have higher spectrum efficiency and communication capacity, as well as lower communication costs per bit.

4G/LTE uses a variety of concepts to significantly increase technical complexity.

In addition to other advanced technologies, it is particularly worth mentioning that the more complex uplink and downlink modulation schemes, high flexible channel bandwidth, and in some cases, the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) architecture that requires multiple antennas.

Finally, the increased complexity of LTE requires extremely powerful, flexible, and innovative processing performance in base stations and mobile phones.
