What is the working state of NB-IoT?
1. Connected (connected high):
The module is in this state after registering into the network, it can send lee to receive data, no data interaction for more than a period of time will enter dle hard type, and the time can be configured.
2. Idle (idle state):
Can send and receive data, three receive downlink data will enter the Connected state. No data interaction more than the general will enter PSM mode, the time can be configured:
3. PSM (Power Saving Mode):
In this mode, the terminal turns off the transceiver and does not listen to the paging on the wireless side, so although it is still registered in the network, signaling is not reachable, and downlink data cannot be received with little power. Duration out of the core network configuration (T3412), there is uplink data to be transmitted or TAU cycle ends will enter the Connected state.
4. The conversion process of the three working states of NB-IoT, in general, can be summarized as follows:
(1) The terminal is in the Connected state after sending data and starts the “inactivity timer”, default 20 seconds, configurable from 19 to 36008;
(2) The “Inactivity timer” times out and the terminal enters the idle state. Start and or timer (Active-Timer [T3324]), the timeout time configuration range is 2 seconds ~ 186 minutes;
(3) When Active-Timer, the terminal enters PSM state and enters Connected high at the end of the TAU cycle, and the configuration range of the TAU period [T3412] is 54 minutes-310 hours.
(4) TAU cycle means from the beginning of dle to the end of PSM mode.
