The 2.4 GHz 5GHz Wifi Dual Band Microstrip Patch Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-PCB-2458-4814-IPEX is a 2.4 GHz 5GHz Wifi PCB antenna designed by C&T RF Antennas Inc for dual frequency band applications in the ISM band and WiMAX band for Wifi applications.
It is a dual-band wifi antenna with 2.4GHz & 5GHz dual frequency PCB antenna that comes with a 48x14mm PCB microstrip board size and a 100mm antenna cable with Ipex/u.FL connector antenna.
What is a dual-band patch antenna?
Dual-band wifi refers to the 2.4G frequency and the 5G frequency. Traditional wireless antennas refer to single-band wifi antennas, which generally transmit a single-band wireless signal at 2.4 GHz only.
The 2.4 GHz 5GHz Wifi dual-band antenna consists of a rectangular patch that is fed by the coaxial probe feeding technique. The ground plane is loaded with two rectangular strip slots and one elliptical slot to drive the antenna into dual mode and enhance its bandwidth.
According to the regulations, there are 13 channels in 2.4 GHz. As wireless antennas become popular, and given the characteristics of wireless signals, 6 adjacent channels can basically eliminate signal interference, the 2.4 GHz frequency has gradually become saturated.
