Description

What is 868 MHz Dipole Antenna PCB Antenna?

The 868 MHz Dipole Antenna PCB Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-PCB-0868-7010-IPEX-100 is a printed circuit board antenna PCB antenna with an 868 Mhz frequency band antenna built-in antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for 868MHz/Sigfox/LoRa/LPWA/RFID/ZigBee/ISM applications.

This 868 MHz Dipole Antenna internal PCB antenna with a 70x10mm PCB board size, 100mm RG 1.13 cable extender, Ipex/u.FL/MHF 1 connector, adhesive mount, internal antenna for Lora gateway, Lora node, Lora module, Lora device, ISM module, ISM device, etc.

What is a dipole antenna?

The dipole antenna is generally a full-to-directional antenna of the garden. The full-to-directional antenna covers horizontal 360-degree signals, and the different all-to-pending antennas have different sizes in the vertical direction.

The dipole antenna is also known as the vibrator antenna, an asymmetrical vibrator. A line antenna with asymmetric arms. It is an antenna that produces similar to the basic electric dipole radiation.

It is used to treat the dipole antenna as the same metal radiating member, in which the heart is fed, the current distribution on the antenna is similar to the current distribution on the open transmission line, and its two ends are the current wave section.

Symmetric Array Antenna Structure: The symmetrical vibrator antenna consists of two arms, and the two arms of the antenna are composed of two or longer thick wires.

Structural parameters: The radius of the wire is a length is L, and the total length of the vibrator is L = 2L. The gap between the two arms is small, theoretically negligible.

The vibrator of the length of the two arms is called an asymmetrical vibrator. One-quarter wavelength is called half-wave symmetry. The full length and wavelength are called a full-wave symmetrical vibrator.

The symmetric vibrator antenna is a classic, so far to use the most widely used antenna, a single half-wave couple can be simply used or used as a feed source of parabolic antennas, and multiple half-wave dipolar antennae can also be used as an antenna array.

Symmetric vibrators also have resonance: The resonance length is always at an integer 0.25λ, and it is slightly less than 0.25λ integers (wavelengths in free space).

The electromagnetic wave is smaller than the speed of the wire propagation speed in the free space, that is, the wavelength in the wire is shorter than the wavelength in the free space.

When the vibrator is thick enough, the current distribution on the vibrator is actually zero in addition to the difference in the input and wave nodes. This is because the vibrator distribution parameters are uneven and the thickness of the wire thickness, so the vibrator end has a large end capacitor, and the end current is not zero.

This increases the effective length of the vibrator, which is equivalent to the shortened wavelength, and the phenomenon of this actually is called the end effect.

The half-wave symmetry is a very common antenna design, as the name suggests, half-wave, half wavelength, the length of the array is half the wavelength of the main frequency (basis), from the figure, the fundamental frequency is approximately 340 MHz, Double frequency (such as the three harmonics and five harmonics) frequencies of approximately 340 MHz * 3 = 1.02GHz and 340 * 5 = 1.7GHz.
