What is a Lora Omni Antenna?
The 3dBi Lora Omni Antenna N Male Connector Omnidirectional Antenna style CTRF-ANTENNA-OMNI-8593-20200-N is an N-type connector Omni fiberglass antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc for LoRa & LoRaWan communication systems.
The 3dBi Lora Omni Antenna N Male Connector has a 20x200mm waterproof Omni fiberglass antenna mast, 3 dBi Gain, 850-930 MHz Lora band, and can be mounted directly to the Lora base station or Lora device.

1. Preamble
The preamble is used to keep the receiver synchronized with the incoming data stream. The function is to remind the receiver chip that the upcoming transmission is a valid signal, pay attention to the reception so as not to lose the useful signal, and will send the valid data immediately after the current pilot code is sent.
The default Preamble data size is 12 symbols long, the length can be extended according to the actual application (internal variables).
For example, in a receiver-intensive application, the preamble length can be shortened in order to shorten the receiver duty cycle. The actual transmit preamble length ranges from 6+4 ~ 65535 +4 symbols.
LoRa’s receiver periodically detects the preamble code. Therefore, the length of the leading code at the receiving and transmitting ends needs to be the same. If it is unknown, the leading code length of the receiver should be set to the maximum value.
2. Header
Two types of Header can be selected by operation mode, display/implicit: on RegModemConfig1 register, selected by setting ImplicitHeaderModeOn.
2.1 Explicit Header Mode
LoRa is all in explicit Header mode by default. In this mode, the Header will contain information about the Payload, including
Payload length (byte)
Forward error correction coding rate
Whether to use CRC (16 bits)
The Header is sent according to the maximum error correction code (4/8), and the Header also contains its own CRC, which can be checked by the receiver first to discard invalid Header packets.
2.2 Implicit Header Mode
In certain cases, if the Payload length, encoding rate, and CRC are fixed or known, the sending time can be shortened by using the implicit Header mode. In this case, the Payload length, error rate, and CRC need to be set manually for both ends of the radio link.
Note: If the spreading factor SF is set to 6, only the implicit header mode can be used.
3. Payload
The packet payload Payload is a variable-length field, the actual length and coding rate CR can be set by the header in explicit Header mode or by the setting in the register in implicit mode. Payload is read and written in the FIFO.
