What is a High-performance 1575.42MHz UFL GPS Antenna?
The High-performance 1575.42MHz UFL GPS Antenna internal antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-PCB-1575-6408-IPEX is an uFL antenna with a 1575.42MHz frequency, 5dBi high-gain, 100mm standard cable length, adhesive, passive GPS antenna made by PCB board antenna and supplied by C&T RF Antennas Inc.
Are UFL and IPEX the same?
FL connector (also called uFL, IPEX, IPAX, IPX, MHF, and AM). But most antennas have SMA or RP-SMA connectors on them. It has a panel-mount SMA connector on the end, often used for GPS and cellular connections. Most WiFi devices/routers that have a connector use RP-SMA.
The UFL GPS Antenna style comes with an Ipex/u.FL connector cable PCB antenna for GPS applications.
What are GPS signal components?
The GPS signal contains three signal components, i.e., carrier, ranging code, and data code. These signal components are all generated under the control of the same fundamental frequency F0=10.23MHz. Each GPS satellite issues independent signals on two frequency bands.
The ranging and data codes of GPS satellites are modulated onto the carrier wave using the phase-modulation technique, i.e., in the carrier signal on two bands (L1=1575.42 MHz and L2=1227.6 MHz).
C/A code is a short code for tracking and locking measurement pseudo-random code with a code rate of 1023Mb/s, a wavelength of about 300m, and a period of 1 ms. P-code is the precision measurement code of GPS with a code rate of 10.23Mb/s.
What is GPS positioning accuracy?
Using the signal of pseudo-random code for single machine measurement, theoretically, according to the current alignment accuracy of the ranging code is about 1/100 of the wavelength of the ranging code, and the range accuracy of the C/A code is about 13m, and the ranging accuracy of P-code is about +0.3m.
To eliminate the common error and improve the positioning accuracy, more than 2 carrier phase GPS positioners can be used to implement joint positioning, and the relative positioning accuracy of the carrier signal single-frequency machine can reach: +(5mm+2ppmxD) where D is the relative distance between the two instruments;
For the carrier signal dual-frequency machine, it can effectively eliminate the ionization morning delay error, and its relative positioning accuracy can reach: +(1mm+1ppmxD).
