Description
What is an FPC 915 MHz High Gain Antenna?
The 915 MHz High Gain Antenna FPC Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FPC-0915-8521-IPEX is a high gain antenna 915 MHz Omnidirectional antenna is needed in the industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) band for better performance and coverage flexible PCB antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc.
The 915 MHz High Gain Antenna FPC Antenna style CTRF-ANTENNA-FPC-0915-8521-IPEX antenna item is a high gain 915 MHz Omni antenna designed for 915MHz license-free applications including European LoRa and SIGFOX frequencies.
Offering up to 5 dBi gain, it is an adhesive-mounted antenna suitable for continuous indoor deployment.
Lora can handle a lot of noise, but the LoRa modem can be configured to divide the range of 64-4096 slices/bit, using the highest spreading factor of 4096 slices/bit. In contrast, ZigBee can only divide the range of 10-12 slices/bit.
By using a high spreading factor, LoRa technology can transmit small volumes of data across a large area of the radio spectrum.
In fact, when you run the data through a spectrum analyzer, the data looks like noise, but the difference is that the noise is uncorrelated and the data are correlated.
Based on this, the data can actually be thermally extracted from the noise. The higher the spreading factor, the more data can be extracted from the noise.
In a well-run GFSK receiver, a minimum signal-to-noise ratio of 8 dB is extracted. The higher the spreading factor, the more data can be extracted from the noise.
In a well-functioning GFSK receiver, a minimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 8 dB is required to reliably demodulate the signal, and with the AngelBlocks configuration, LoRa can demodulate a signal with an SNR of -20 dB.
The GFSK approach differs from this result by 28dB, which corresponds to a much wider range and distance. In an outdoor environment, a difference of 6dB can achieve 2 times the original transmission distance.
